Reiki is an unique method of healing that was rediscovered at the end of the nineteenth century by Dott. Mikao Usui.

The word Reiki is the name given to energy. The unity of the two syllables Rei and Ki gave rise to the term used to define the energy that surrounds us.

Through energy channelled by Reiki, the three parts of our being (energy – matter - spirit) work together and ensure that human beings can reach a constant equilibrium, developing and amplifying their latent power and allowing them to find unity and harmony. We need, at this point, to clarify the difference between human and Cosmic Reiki.

Human Reiki is the amplification of our energy through the awakening of personal power, it operates much on first and third chakras (ego, power and desire), cancelling the fourth chakra (Love, balance and higher consciousness).

In addition, human Reiki doesn’t create around us that yellow field in the aura, used to protect our structure.

Cosmic Reiki works on all levels of our being starting from the center of the heart, increasing in particular the third chakra (will) ,the fourth (love), and sixth (intuition), but in total awareness. It creates yellow fields of strength in the aura, the same for everyone.

Cosmic fields which are created in the aura after the opening of Reiki channels are not yet physically demonstrable, but in the near future, thanks to new scientific and technological discoveries, the existence of this energy will be shown, thus differentiating human Reiki from truly Cosmic Reiki.

Consequently, there is a difference between Cosmic and human Masters, because while the human Master can create dependency in others, the Cosmic Master aims to awakening through the cosmic energy which is still "asleep", creating a really spiritual growth. He is active in awareness, bringing balance and unity.
